Discover the magic of summer at Camp Howe, where kids can be themselves, feel accepted and know they belong.
Kids need places where they can just be kids.
Our community is the heart of Camp Howe. We want every camper to feel welcome, included and valued for who they are. Our campers and staff come from different places and backgrounds and bring different life experiences.Those differences make our community stronger.
Campers leave Howe a little more independent, a little more confident and hopefully knowing a little more about themselves and the people around them.
We offer one-week and two-week overnight camp, day camp, teen leadership programs and additional support for youth who need it through the ECHO Program.

Who We Are
Our local and global staff offers diverse, dedicated support so every camper feels truly seen.
We fill summer days with swimming, boating, climbing, sports, arts, nature, adventure, archery, campfires, laughter and a whole lot of fun, while kids build confidence, independence and friendships without even realizing they’re growing.

In today’s hectic, plugged-in world, kids need a place to slow down, put away the screens, get outside, try new things, solve their own problems and simply be kids. Camp gives them the space to discover who they are, what they’re capable of, and where they belong.
Why It Matters
Almost 100 years of impacting the lives of our campers
Camp Howe is a nonprofit summer camp in Western Massachusetts for youth ages 7–17. Sitting on 52 acres and surrounded by state forest, Howe is a place where kids can get outside, explore and experience summer the way it should be. For nearly 100 years, young people have come here to have fun, make friends, try new things and grow in ways that often surprise them.
Because we believe a great camp experience should be within reach for more families, we work hard to keep Camp Howe affordable without compromising the quality, safety or experience we provide.

What Makes Camp Howe, Camp Howe?
Camp Howe has changed and grown over the last century, but the things at the heart of a great camp experience have remained remarkably simple. Safety, acceptance, personal growth and fun shape how we build our community, plan our programs and create a place where kids can truly be kids.
Ages 7–17 - Grades 1 and up
Additional support woven into the traditional Camp Howe experience, helping campers who may need a little more guidance to successfully participate, build friendships and experience the independence and belonging of camp.
Ages 16–17 - Grades 10 and up
A hands-on leadership experience where older youth move from being campers to becoming role models, developing the skills, responsibility and confidence to lead others.
Ages 13–17 — Grades 7 and up
More freedom, bigger adventures and deeper friendships, with opportunities for teens to challenge themselves, make their own choices and grow into confident young adults.
Ages 7–12 - Grades 1 through 6
A classic camp experience where younger campers make friends, try new things, build independence and discover just how much they can do for themselves.
Ages 7 - 12 - Grades 1 through 6.
All the fun, friendship and adventure of Camp Howe packed into the day, giving campers the chance to explore, try new things and build confidence while heading home each evening.
Programs for Every Stage of Development
We love sharing photos from camp, but we also believe that not every moment needs to be captured. Sometimes the best moments are the ones everyone is simply too busy enjoying.
We want to spend less time capturing moments and more time living them.
