Terrie Campbell

Terrie graduated from the
University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia
and worked as a counselor of teens and
families before coming to the states. Terrie is a lifelong camper
and has spent the past 24 summers working
at camp. She has held the positions of
Instructor, Inclusion Counselor, Program
Specialist, CIT Director, Special Events
Director, Outdoor Program Staff and
Director in camps both in Australia and
the US. She has worked for camps
operated by the Australian Government,
Girl Scouts, YMCA and 4H. Terrie is both
a Visitor and an Instructor of Visitors for the
American Camp Association and serves on
the regional standards committee. She
believes in the positive impact of the
camp experience for all youth,
especially in the inclusive environment
of Camp Howe. |

“Greetings and Salutations! I'm Catt and
I hail from Hartford CT these days and I
am so so so excited to be back at Camp
Howe this summer!!! This will be
something like my 24th summer
at a camp (15 as staff) and my 6th at
Camp Howe! You could say it is my life.
When I am not working at Camp Howe I am
running teambuilding and high ropes
programs at multiple outdoor centers and
schools. I am so very excited to be
celebrating Camp Howe’s 85th
year with each and every one of you!” |

everyone! My name is Chelsea and this
will be my second year as a counselor at
camp Howe. I am from Belchertown
Massachusetts, and I attend Holyoke
community college as an elementary
education major. I’m a super big
goofball, with a not so secret love of
transformers (just call me chelsimus
prime, all my campers do!) I could eat
ice cream all day long, arts and crafts
will be my favorite thing in the world
no matter how old I get, and Sunday
night campfires will always hold a warm
place in my heart. I am very excited for
the summer of 2012, and I cannot wait to

"After taking a
couple of years off,
I had to come back to Camp Howe.
I couldn't
stay away. Camp Howe is my second home
and it is so special that I will be
getting married there at the end of the
summer. I love
everything about it - the staff, the
campers, the animals, the waterfront...
absolutely everything. When not at camp
I program director for a year round camp
program here in England. When I get
spare time, I like to play soccer,
practice ballet and enjoy the out of
doors. Can't wait to see everyone again
this year!"

This will be my first year on staff, but
it will be my ninth summer at Camp Howe.
This spring, I will graduate from Four
Rivers Charter School in Greenfield, MA,
and I am planning to attend college in
the fall. I enjoy making things with my
hands, from blowing glass to
blacksmithing, and I also love the
outdoors. My overall attitude is I love
to learn. Camp Howe is the most joyful
and accepting community that I have ever
been a part of, and I cannot wait to
help campers have a great summer like I
have had so many times!" |

I’m Jack and this will be my
second year as head chef at Camp Howe.
When I’m not cooking at Camp, I’m
cooking for my catering business or
teaching at the middle school in Dover,
NH .
In my spare time,
I coach girls’ lacrosse, make
furniture and fly fish.
This year, I hope to spend some
time out of the kitchen and go fishing
with the campers!
I can’t wait to get back to Camp
and start cooking again!

"Hi!!
My name is Jax and I'm from a little
town called Bournemouth in tiny little
old England! I have been a counselor
before in California and now I am so
excited to return to Camp Howe for my
second summer! My favourite things include Cadbury's
chocolate, listening to music
(especially Muse - they rock!) and
laughing - even at the most terrible
of jokes. I have been a performer
forever so find it very hard to be quiet
but I will try my hardest at lights out!

"Hello! I’m Jenny. I'm from sunny Long
Beach, CA, but I spend most of my time
up north where I am currently a Junior
at the University of California,
Berkeley. However, this spring semester
I will be studying abroad at the
University College, Maastricht in the
Netherlands (stoked)! I am studying
Environmental Earth Science. because I
find every thing about our planet
fascinating. One day, I hope to be a
weather forecaster on TV! I love being
outdoors, hiking, swimming, cooking,
baking, traveling, laughing, dancing,

wasn't until a few months ago when I
moved out on my own to Baltimore,

everyone! I’m Sam H, or Harry-Sam, not

we always have. This summer will be my
third year working at camp and I’m SO
EXCITED! Camp is pretty much my second
home and I wish I could be there all
year long. I love everything about camp,
but I would say that my favorite things
about it are all the amazing people I
get to meet, the endless fun I have with
those people, how my clothes always end
up smelling like campfires, and of
course free swim. Outside of camp I
spend most of my time at Juniata College
where I am studying to be a teacher and
playing rugby. I can’t wait to see all

smell of campfires, I would much rather
read than watch a movie, I love laying

hill is one of my favorite parts of camp

love to swim and chase balls. There are
so many friends I see year after year...
